Lars Mellis is a certified professional astrologer based in New York. He currently holds two certifications from The School for Traditional Astrology based in London. Lars most recently served as the Competency Chair for the International Society for Astrological Research’s Certification body, CAP-ISAR. He also previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) and on the board of NCGR-LA as the Outreach Director.
Lars is the author of HarperCollins’ “Your Personal Horoscope” book series, having authored the 2025 and 2026 editions and the soon to be released 2027 edition.
Lars has a well-rounded educational background which includes a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science focusing on Honeybee research from Franklin & Marshall College and a Master’s degree in University Management and Student Affairs from USC.
